The Last Supper

INSPIRATION

For this group work with Laura, we thought of making interactive art by incorporating art with pop culture and daily life. As we were discussing during dinner, we decided to weave food in classical art with a casual dinning scene.

FOOD ART

FROM DIFFERENT TIME PERIODS

RECREATION

By incorporating the art work on food as the “actual food” served in our picnic, we repainted on the classics to connect eating with art.

We gathered classmates to interact with other work and imitate the daily dinning scenes. By serving food in arts, we tried to guide audiences to reflect on how food is perceived by people in different time periods and across culture.

A collage of various food items, including cans of Campbell's soup, baked goods, fish, vegetables, fruits, and decorative items like an umbrella and a cookie. The collage features canned soups such as green pea, beef, mushroom, onion, tomato, vegetable, pepper pot, and chicken noodle, alongside pastries, fish, and a basket of assorted fruits.

Art as food. Food as art.
